How layouts affect viewers

Layouts in websites or web pages are directly intertwined with how a user experiences the site or page, and what they may think of the website. A website with a well put together layout that enhances it’s own visual clarity and improves it’s navigation features is more likely to make a viewer want to engage with it, as the convenience of a well put together navigation menu would make it so a viewer has an easier time navigating and viewing the website. A website with a clear layout with elements such as a visual hierarchy also help with viewer engagement, as sorting content by importance within a layout is a good method of drawing user attention to important and key parts of a website. Without key elements such as these, user engagement is more likely to be diminished if the website is awkward to view, hard to scan, and cumbersome to navigate.
