What I know about web layouts
Throughout my experience using web development tools like HTML, CSS and WordPress, I’ve been able to learn a lot about the basics when it comes to properly formatting web based content. As examples, when first designing a layout you first need to consider the following:
- How people usually scan websites visually.
- What makes a website visually appealing.
- How to implement a clear means of easy navigation.
- How to organize content via visual hierarchy.
- Who your target audience is.
- What your experience with the website may be if you were a viewer.
All of these ideas and questions are ones that I always make sure to consider when making and designing layouts for my web content, that way I am able to make them in the most effective way possible. Thinking outside the box and putting yourself in the perspective of a potential viewer of your own website layout is also important, as it lets you assess what somebody else may think of your website depending on the way it’s structured.
